The US and NATO need to save face.

Russia recently mobilised its military industrial base which is now running 24/7 to build stocks. NATO stocks are low as much has been shipped to Zelensky.

Russia aimed to denatzify and demilitarise the Ukraine. To save face the US will need to negotiate this; if Russia is forced to totally defeat Ukraine then US and NATO credibility will be zero.

All true, but lets not forget that the mighty U.S.got it's arse kicked by the Taliban last year as well (allegedly) and got a gift of 150Bn worth of war toys from uncle Joe. So if a rag-tag bunch of jihadists can scare the U.S. out of their country what can an organised Russian army led by a politician who while having his usual issues, is head and shoulders above the calibre of all current western leaders?
