    But despite that, by day's end here our two leading gold stocks, NCM and LGL had been well bid and ignored all this carnage instead of being smashed down.

    Lower $A to $US, and falling oil price positive for Producers earnings. Eg: impact on NCM earnings with 1c move on the $A/US FX rate equates to A$7m earnings differential.
