times have changed, development models like Axiom's that genuinely involve and share the rewards with local landowners are the only way forward.
by taking action against the SI govt. in the high court this brings into play sovereign rights issues and too much at stake in terms of SI governance integrity and stability for the SI govt. to be seen to have its authority overturned by an aggrieved foreign mining company.
SI Govt should be able to defend its grounds in revoking SMM LOI, and the fact that SMM is picking a fight with everyone involved smacks of desperation...in all probably puts Axiom in a stronger position to prove its legitimacy as IMO case should be thrown out of court thus removing any ambiguity about the license once and for all
see the big picture people...
