one of the users from our German Biota-Forum has received a VERY strange letter from his bank today referring Biota. I guess that all of us in Germany will receive this letter in the next days.
In the letter, the bank declares that Biota demands the name and address of the shareholder saying that Biota has the right to do so under Australian law.
We in Germany have no problem to give them our names and addresses - but why do they ask for it ?! The guy is only a small shareholder with a couple of thousand shares.
It has nothing to do with the cash-return, cos the record- date is much later...
Are they afraid of a hostile takeover and now asking for the names of all shareholders worldwide ?
We have sent an email to Damian Lismore, but have received no reply yet.
I just wanted to inform you, since this seems somehow strange to me. If you have any thoughts - please let me know.
Best regards from Germany
Eric
