Well I hope AVL is in touch with WALGA (Western Australian Local Government Association and Western Power to help solve the current power supply problems of towns at the end of the grid.
Perenjori held an energy summit yesterday about solving their power supplies. Earlier this year Western Power installed a lithium battery system that will handle power outages of up to 4 hours.
They held the summit to help other communities, farmers, businesses and miners etc discuss their own future power needs. This a huge area of growth for battery storage as many small towns at the edge of the grid have major outages regularly.
If AVL just sit back then lithium batteries will fill the void, which is getting larger every year.
This is the Govt owned energy supplier who is pushing this as it is cheaper than upgrading the current energy system in smaller towns. AVL must jump onto this asap imo.
