    I'm reminded of some of T.S. Eliot's lines in his "Prufrock" poem:

    "...The muttering retreats...

    In the room the women come and go
    Talking of Michelangelo...

    And indeed there will be time
    To wonder, “Do I dare?” and, “Do I dare?”
    Do I dare
    Disturb the universe?"

    But the one with the loudest echo is:
    "Let us go, you and I..."
