Mr. Michael T. Sember, MBA serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Inverseon Inc. Mr. Sember serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Acorda Therapeutics Inc. He serves as Principal of Brush Creek Bio, LLC, a biopharmaceutical consulting company. He served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of DOR Biopharma Inc.(alternately Soligenix, Inc.), from December 10, 2004 to August 30, 2006. He served as the Managing Director of EGB Advisors LLC. from December 2003 to December 2004. He served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Women First Healthcare Inc. from August 5, 2003 to January 2004. He served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Deltagen Inc. from April 2002 to December 2002. Mr. Sember has an extensive business development, operating and financial background which includes early 100 licensing transactions and several corporate acquisitions. He has over 35 years of experience in the life science and pharmaceutical industries, including multiple sclerosis market expertise. He has experience in the areas of R&D, business development, and corporate finance, including involvement with over 100 licensing transactions and corporate acquisitions. Most of his professional career was spent in senior executive positions with Marion Laboratories (Aventis) and Elan Corporation PLC. He served as an Executive Vice President of Business Development at Elan Corporation PLC, from September 1991 to March 2002. At Elan, he was responsible for building a strategic alliance portfolio, which included over 30 products in clinical development across several therapeutic areas including neurology, oncology, and pain management. From 2002 to 2003, he served as an Independent consultant providing strategic business development and executive services to a number of public and private companies, including several which engaged him to assist in their efforts to accomplish a turn around and/or restructuring. Mr. Sember was with Marion Merrell Dow Inc. from 1973 to 1991. He serves as a Vice Chairman of MSDx, LLC. He serves as a Director of Inverseon Inc and Sigmoid Pharma Limited. He has served on the Boards of eight public and private biotech companies and on the Advisory Boards of venture capital firms HealthCare Ventures and Merlin BioMed. He served as a Director of Soligenix, Inc. (a/k/a DOR Biopharma Inc.) from December 10, 2004 to September 28, 2006, Women First Healthcare Inc., from July 2001 to September 2002, Iomed Inc. since May 1997, FeRX Incorporated, Acorda Therapeutics, Inc. and Delsys Pharmaceutical Corporation. Mr. Sember received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from Rockhurst College.
