From an AFR article on March 4, "Saba’s presence in other local listed funds overseen by Regal and Pengana Capital has unsettled the local sector. In some instances, instructions have gone out to tell brokers not to sell large blocks to the hedge fund."
One wonders if there were specific instructions from the fund manager on March 19th to the broker looking to sell not to sell shares to Saba or other activist funds? That may assist in helping the future relationships between broker and LIC manager in the case of future capital raisings.
