Consider at least the possibility that management and auditors may not be looking our for your interests.
Don't take what shorts say at face value either but consider that the good ones have interests which align with yours. They are incentivised to identify frauds, as a long this is something you really want to know.
VGI certainly identified that there are a few hairs on this thing. Maybe there's just one cockroach in the kitchen and you'll be fine.
