Its initial drilling program at its Bluff coal tenement (EPC2121), four holes have encountered thick coal intersections including: Hole 6 intersected a 10.5m zone of coal over a 13.8m interval at a depth of ?60m. Hole 6C (core hole) located close to Hole 6 intersected 7.2m of coal over an interval of 10.8m at a depth of ?60m; Hole 11 intersected multiple seams totalling ?25m of coal at depths from 30m to 238m: Importantly, ?6.5m of coal was intersected between 31 to 55m depth; and A further ?18.5m of coal was intersected between 131 and 238m depth. Hole 7 was drilled to test for continuity and depth of coal seams further east. A total in excess of 20m of coal was intersected at depths from 270m. Holes 9 and 16 are scheduled to be drilled this week with seismic data indicating the presence of shallow coal seams.
