Vic govt today dropped TAH and TTS's duopoly on pokies in Vic from 2012 onwards.
If you want to run pokies you have to own hotels but you cant own more than 35% of the hotels and therefore pokies, which remain at 27500 in total in Vic.
Good news for CUS potentially. Assuming ATM's are still allowed in hotels by then, the biggest owner of pubs, ALM, will have to sell down pubs to comply. CUS currently dont supply ANY ATM machines to any ALM pubs. Therefore they have the opportunity to tender for new biz in Vic.
But before you get too excited, it is 4 yrs away, and on premise ATM's could be banned by then!!!
