vic govt only one without exemption stamp duty, page-13

little tee...I am amazed he's got away with it....when did the other states start giving exemptions ?? think /guess it was before the last vic election...

I do not agree with it....and thought the GST was to replace most of those state taxes.....but maybe you should look into what other charges each state govt charge regarding building a new home...
my only experiences recently has been in NSW....
and I did build a new house on a property that I had strated.....never really noticed what taxes etc they charged...just paid it....no big deal in the greater scheme of things for me....
I did cop the vendors tax before it got thrown out...
