Yeah, the interesting part is that Andrews wants support from Super funds. Honestly, I feel the super industry needs to come of age in regards to so called woke and green investing, I don't think they have it right.
Super exists to provide income in retirement and take the burden of retirement living away from the govt purse. i.e make as much money as possible. Default funds should do exactly that, without political and environmental influence.
If Australian Super wants to offer a 'green fund' and 'woke fund' etc, etc, then offer that. As individuals we can choose to have some or all of our balance in them, and the fund manager can make all the decisions with that in mind.
However, the default fund should be based on safest and best returns, take the rest of the crap out of it.
