    Do you remember when Keating tried to get rid of 'negative gearing'? Bad things happened to renters.

    Higher % of public housing occurred in the 'good old days', when Govt's did their job. Now Govt's don't do their job and to top it off they bring in 700k hungry/needy migrants without having laid the foundations to support them or house them. Now we all suffer through a lack of services including education and hospitals and housing. 40 years ago Keating learned that to house Australians you need private investors.
