My "ramble" at the time was to refute the independent expert's arguments supporting a fundraising resolution (withdrawn at the 11th hour). Had you (or anyone else at the AGM) bothered to read the expert's report you would have been less confused.

Since you didn't read (or understand) it, your only sane option was to drop the issue.
