    There is nothing wrong with the asset, ie, the shale. It is the debt against the asset that is the problem. If the debt can't be serviced the asset will be sold. It wont disappear into thin air. Instead they will very likely remain producing assets in a more consolidated industry. Maybe they will become strategic assets. I don't see the shale industry collapsing. I see it flourishing and being a pain in your a** for a long time lol
