Far has been being shorted for a while now. Total short after yesterday is somewhere around the 25mill mark. Looks to have been today too by the trading. 25 mill is not a big ratio in comparison to the shares on issue but compared to the recent daily traded volume it is significant.
What I find interesting is that the 25 mill shares have to be covered and I don't think there are 25 mill shares that holders are willing to part with, especially so close to drilling commencing.
The only logical conclusion I can draw is that they are looking to cover on the next round of 6c option conversions, but with drilling coming up - good luck to them! I'm betting that the shorters have taken a losing position.
