The deep coal seams within EL 4416 (onshore Gippsland basin) present significant
opportunity for carbon dioxide sequestration and enhanced coal bed methane (ECBM)
recovery. VCR is investigating this potential for coal bed methane and would welcome
discussions towards a common user CO2 sequestration facility.

Within EL 4416 are deep, unmineable coal seams that are prospective for coal bed methane (and
associated coal seam water) production.
