Because crisis time hasn't arrived yet.
We can see it in the distance, and whilst industry is talking about it, and gas retail users are talking about it, and workers are worrying about it, those industries haven't yet started closing down, those gas users haven't yet been hit by large bill increases, and workers haven't yet commenced to lose their jobs. When it does hit crises mode, only then will unions step in and retail gas users and laid-off workers speak up.
It will come, it just hasn't yet.
