I agree that what you say is probably right for the majority of the population. Its just the way most people think.

I dont think someone undergoing a mental issue/episode thinks the same way - by definition.

I am not sure how police can deal with them, they have a right to go home in one piece as well, and it happens quickly.

The video is damning though. In that specific situation its hard to see how the stomping was required.
