    Yes I read that at your link's website.
    It does appear to me, as a layperson, to contradict itself where it says:
    "police must tell you you're arrested";
    but next line it says they don't have to tell you, if they're unable to catch you.
    No doubt they'll use mental telepathy to inform you of your arrest!

    To my untrained mind the legal decision by Justice Kaye is clear-cut and it directly contradicts what is written on the Legal Aid website.
    Of course a relevant legislated Statute Law which has been gazetted since then would override the existing Common Law principle Justice Kaye relied upon.

    So the next time a copper legs it after me I'll hightail it and rely on the Supreme Court decision.
