Despite the bureaucratic stuff up under his watch, he's holding up remarkably well but for those who want his blood, once this settles down, he'll move on for his own mental health. Dutton stuffed up too - it's called both human error and a lack of professionalism, unfortunately with tragic outcomes.

Sending him to jail is not an option - many are going to get away with incompetency - for instance, I'm close to naming Trump and some of his Administration seral killers, but neither Dutton or Dan were deliberate in their actions and are most certainly not.

The whole pandemic is such a tragedy and may well divide us even more as a nation.

It's so sad. We used to be an embracing, off-the-cuff, laconic, she'll be right, fair go type of country, and like so many nowadays we are bursting at the seams with partisanship - so many of us now hate immigrants, are casually racist, and despise change of any sort. Gone are the days when you'd get on with someone with differing political views - it was more about what we had in common.
