As to your repeated claim about gas in the brown coal fields, I call bs on that.

We operate large open pit coal mines in Victoria. There is no gas issue .

Maybe you are getting confused with the very deep shales that are gas and liquid rich that underlie Gippsland at a depth of over 1000m ?
