Difference is someone worked hard, scarificed and risked capital to purchase the property. Then you have a lazy government that continually targets an easy asset class to piss hard working taxpayer's money away left right and centre to buy votes. Sad thing is that for those of us not fortunate enough to receive handouts, we don't see any benefit for the taxes taken. This is simply a class war, and you don't have to be filthy rich to be in the crosshairs of this policy. Far from Democratic, but then again, no on can ever accuse the Andrews government of being that.
