I am just highlighting the incompetence of the Andrews Labor government. And also the complete malaise that afflicts Vic Roads. The recently sacked Roads Minister Jaala Pulford was asleep at the wheel.
I don't want people fined out of existence. I believe speed limit management is woeful. I can travel at 110kmh through acorn's territory in Gippsland on the two lane Princes Highway but limited to 100kmh on the Geelong freeway with 4 lanes. Go figure.
If I were elected premier I would have a commission of review into every aspect of VicRoads. The learner driver system would be first cab off the rank followed by a forensic review of its data security and internal audit systems. The joint leaks like a sieve and is the cause of much fraud especially fakes licences and fake plates. Then third I would put a blowtorch on the fines and licence points systems, the cause of many innocent people losing licences and livelihoods.
