We are about to buy a house in Queensland too.
It has been the coldest winter in southern Victoria.
Forget global warming;
it's not here.
A few greenhouse gases would be better than today's freezing southerly.
Forecast was for a top of 17 - thermometer says 13.
Politically in Vic, the problem is no opposition.
In my electorate, the Liberal candidate is invisible, have never seen or heard from him.
Don't know if the Lib candidate has ever visited the electorate (Nepean).
The ALP MP is useless, but a nice bloke and he is campaigning
in the street and you can go up and say hello - that's why I supported him 3 years ago.
More rain and cold on the way:

Victoria and Tasmania will get a drenching too.
