I don't see how fishing by yourself should be an issue but quite obviously they are trying to restrict people's movements initially in order to get the community to think about what they are doing.

My main hobby is also on hold as well because of these restrictions. Don't see the sense in it or the risk but I'm happy to do it for the time being while we get a handle on this issue.

As we have seen already, people are asking why they have to stay at home while others are able to move around e.g. child care. So, the less people wandering around, the less questions will be asked and the less offences will be committed.

We saw yesterday where an illegal brothel was busted in Geelong. Just goes to show how some people in the community are not using their brains.

I expect that as we get this virus under better control, some of these restrictions such as fishing etc will be eased.

There is no doubt that the actions that the government(s) have been taking are working. We are doing pretty well compared to many other countries and if we can prevent a full lockdown by being sensible, we will be so much better off.

Btw, I think Andrews has done a good job. I would argue he was ahead of the feds. Particularly initially.
