Worst vax roll out in the developed world, you can lock down all you like but until the feds take responsibility very hard to do anything else. Morrison still patting himself on the back! PM has no clues- if they had any kind of leadership ability they should have created a uniform strategy for all states early 2020 based on what was happening in affected countries. Truth is we did have one of the best windows for opportunities to develop strategies and roll out the vaccine which if you look at the countries that did this with urgency we should be hitting 60-70% at least by now.
Lock downs are needed, if you have a look at other countries and what happens to the health care sector, hospitals and the staff they are needed to keep people alive- the only strategy was to vaccinate with urgency. It would also of been prudent to not bring in the infected from overseas-but if you took them to isolated areas to quarantine then that may be manageable.
I think it will be shown that the vax debacle and total incompetence of the feds was more politica/idiological as the feds like Trump saw some political advantage in the Labor states struggles early on.
