Heavy handed but there is always two sides to every story, he will get pulled up on that but the amount of police and other front line public servants have to put up with being abused and assulted they need to be harder as the vic pol have been far too soft on many of these scumbags committing abuse and violence and treated them with kid gloves. These idiots need to know there will be consequences for breaking the law. The heros that have been surrounding and abusing nurses at the city hospitals should all get that treatment and a kicking on the ground IMO
That looks to have crossed the line but you must remember they have been told to go easy and this has empowered the morons to think they can do what they like and not get in trouble- and they ramp until they cross the line and they get taken down- hope that guy is ok but will be interesting to hear what the police cams picked up you can bet to get taken down like that he was not having a respectful convo!
They have stepped it up today which is a good approach as think many of these DH will need to feel the financial pinch, lose their benefits and I would also bar them from the public health system. While there may be some of the dumber tradies taking part and getting drunk on a paid holiday there are many that are just there to agitate and they will hopefully feel the full force of the law.
