Imagine if a private company made a mistake that caused hundreds of deaths and billions of dollars of losses to the public. There would be jail time. There would be no escape. Victoria has the toughest industrial manslaughter laws. Yet public servants and politicians are clearly guilty of causing hundreds of deaths. They can't remember or it was a "joint responsibility". If they get away with this the industrial manslaughter legislation should be ripped up.

Does this apply globally or just in Victoria? Presumably Trump, Bolsonaro and Boris Johnson all go to the electric chair for this? Their failures have been far more deadly than those of Daniel Andrews. Reaper
