No mate, I was not using Chinese cars as an Aussie Example. I was simply stating that there will likely be a range of EV cars in the future ranging from small 2 seaters to the bigger units and that a flat 2.5c/klm will not likely fit all.
I am not talking about what is currently available ; just a future range. I purposely did not mention E motor bikes ; just what could be considered Class M vehicles.
Here is a list of EVs available in Aus ; the cheapest being the MG which is a Chinese model:
Despite this variety, less than 4K EVs were sold in Aus in 2020 out of over 1 million vehicles which makes any make/model an enthusiasts car at best and an orphan at worst!
IMO, EVs will not gain traction in our market until there is a global economy of scale where they can compete in price with ICEs and IMO, just because of its sheer market size, China will likely lead in the EV price stakes which its doing now with its MG model.
