"This would include the removal of the oil, coal and gas industries from the economy in just a few decades..."

How exactly will you do this without an absolute smashing of the world economies?

Take just coal for example. Now the Greens have been pushing for its demise for some time but have NEVER come up with any sort of plan how to do it. The reason they haven't is because it is impossible without the decimation of the economy.

Coal currently provides over 80% of Australia's power needs. It is worth $200B in exports per annum! It employs, directly and indirectly, around 160,000 people. Mostly in the more regional areas where other employment alternatives are scarce.

How do you replace it without sinking the Australian economy? What do you replace it with? Is there an alternative energy, apart from nuclear, which can replace the base-load qualities of coal? And if there is, can it be done for a cost similar to coal power?

And this is just coal in Australia. The article talks about the removal of oil, coal and gas from the world!

    It is total rubbish.
