Australian company Prana (ATH now) had a drug PBT2 that was “poo pooed” by the FDA because at high concentrations it was toxic to dogs. There was never any problems with humans. Now, that very drug is seen as a potentially ingredient to kill superbugs.
There could be a million and one reasons to shitcan or delay the introduction of a drug or medical device at the FDA.It just take a motivated person to find one.
