Under the circumstances and watching how equity markets are behaving around the world nothing surprises me. What we are seeing is a herd mentality. One person decided to dump his stock and others followed. When there was no selling at 1c everyone was comfortable . It only takes one to set the scene.
I watched a movie once where 100 sheep were pushed to the edge of a cliff because of a deranged dog . They all stood there, waiting, until one finally jumped over . The next 99 soon followed.

One can draw comparisons with how the market behaves when panic sets in.

We just witnessed some panic in this stock.

I have been watching Santos get belted by 25% today. I will let you work out how many billions have been lost on their market cap today. 20 million shares have been dumped. But someone is buying that stock. Many obviously believe they should be sold and yet plenty are believing they should be bought.

Who is wrong and who is right.??
