Yep that was me though what i think I said (unless i misworded) was the global payout ratio for ALL companies (not goldies only) was 39%.

Personally though, I'm into growth companies that don't pay divs, or only small divs. I would prefer them to spend the money to grow the company...as long as they spent it wisely. Like NST does, paying only a tiny div. That's just me though, the majority of investors no doubt prefer divs.
