Possum, nobody OWES you any explanations, or needs to justify anything to you - this is an OPINION forum. Where do you get your sense of entitlement from?

But here is my take on why some people continue to hold when a share continues to fall in value:

Selling junk at junk prices is not good business, especially when there is a chance that enough overly optimistic hopefuls, heads buried in the sand, might buy into the 'great news' BS that companies in dire straits release from time to time to keep themselves afloat. If enough do, the share price might just go up enough to make selling out worthwhile.
