I would add, my mum had PPS (Dr. Bloom) post knee and hip replacement surgeries, that have both caused more pain than her pre-surgery state, and the course of injections did not work.

Based on my mum's experience, and what I've read here, I would assume the PPS works on people who are candidates for joint replacement, but have not yet had them.

If your wife can get the course of PPS before getting her knee replaced, just so you can say that you've explored and tried all options before going ahead with the surgery, I strongly urge you to do it.

Do whatever you can to get those injections.
