Merrill Lynch isn't looking too good tonight, with an indicated open down about 10%. Other US financials are not looking too falsh either.
By now we should know the way the market operates.
In an unrigged market gold would be soaring under these conditions. But when US financials are in trouble or being sold off gold usually falls. Surprise. Surprise.
Then again, maybe oil will fall. (Currently a few cents down.) That is another reason to hit gold.)
