I agree absolutely with you.
I follow Aussie rules.

I like soccer. I even watched all the A League on pay TV. But there is no way I would closely support a soccer team.

Not until game deciding decisions are fair.

Even in the A League the TV commentators were saying that something needed to be done about the atrociously incorrect off side calls.

It's far, far worse than cricket where we all know the batsman should and usually does get the benefit of the doubt.

You only have to look at the rugby tackle on Viduka against Japan in the penalty area that was deemed fair and compare it with the World Cup eliminating penalty awarded to Italy with seven seconds of those three minutes of extra time left to have a very bitter taste and say that "the game stinks."

Soccer supporters here say, "That is football." Well, if "that is football", then I will remain nothing but a casual observer. There is no way I will attend games and actively support a team.
