offside calls also appear to be a problem (Brazil again last night)
surely each players shirt could be tagged with a wireless device and the ball with a pressure sensor that would allow a computer to ascertain whether they are "on" or not, with maybe red/green LED's set into the goal crossbar to signal continuously the onside status
