Great point you make there @JackOZ
Someone has it wrong or are being very conservative.
I am a supporter of the higher estimate.
I know that the best way to do any calcs from here are wire frame and I have considered requesting the logs from deg so I can have my geo run the models. I refer to this post this post and the very early estimate given by @Shamer trusted geo.
The rough back of the envelope calcs are not good enough going forward as the shape and grades vary.
