Just saw this on AFRBlackstone, listed on the ASX with a $125 million market capitalisation, owns 90 per cent of Ta Khoa, and is developing an integrated mining and refining battery metals processing business in Vietnam.
It has said it is focused on a “partnership model”, talking to like-minded parties, to get its mine (Ta Khoa Nickel Project) and refinery (Ta Khoa Refinery) up and running.
Vingroup appears to fit the bill. The company, Vietnam’s largest employer worth about 10 per cent of the country’s VN-Index, has substantial interests in vehicles, including subsidiaries Vinfast (cars and motorbikes) and Vinbus (buses). Vinfast plans to stop producing internal combustion engine cars by the end of this year, and sold its first batch of electric vehicles last year.
