The board aren't asleep, they're hibernating while they wait for Tom Prudence to find oil for them. Even if Viet Nam is commercial they only have 5% and it's years to any production. That leaves Oi as the trump and for that we have March as a likely target date. With the directors owning such large holdings, it creates huge financial risks for them so they must be more than quietly confident. For my moderate parcel I'm riding on their confidence as the basis for investing, while also recognising there is little downside at these prices and at the cash backing plus on-going earnings. Not too long to wait and not too anxious either.
