US participation turned the Pacific Theatre, no doubt. But Japan and Germany will lose no matter if US participated or not. Soviet Union already agreed with Allies to declare war on Japan after Germany is defeated.
The Red Army was by far the most powerful army in the world at the time after Germany was defeated, their tanks outclassed the Allies and have perfected motorised warfare. Japan was done.
