I think your knowledge of history is poor. When we sent out troops into Vietnam along with those of the US and NZ we used the excuse that we were helping them defend their country. Did you miss the fact that US was soundly beaten by a solid resistance from Vietnamese who quite frankly didn’t want American domination any more than try liked the French of wanted the Chinese. It’s not really defending another country when you March in and try to take over.
