vigilante mothers

I walked past a cafe in Newtown this afternoon, there were a few people outside with protest signs about breastfeeding and I looked online when I got home.

It seems the cafe owner at the request of other patrons asked a mother if she could refrain. It has turned into a mountain with the cafe receiving threats over the phone and abuse on social media sites.

I don't mind if a woman breastfeeds in public, but not everyone is the same. For the response to be so vitriolic is incredible and a reflection of the current state of society.

People wanted bricks thrown through their window.

Social media is a disaster imo. It lets cowards hurl abuse from afar, and for a commercial business this insanity can be terminal.
