If, and it's a big if, the whole thing was a parody of Dionysus, the question must still be asked - what the Hell does it have to do with the modern Olympic Games?

Imo it was based on the Christian last supper, right down to the halo around the head of the freak in the middle.

Either way not appropriate to the ceremony and the whole opening was a shit show of mammoth proportions.
