The only problem with vanadium redox is that there is no wear out mechanism, as the two electroytes never come into contact there is no contamination and the carbon plates will probably last for 50 years, pity it cannot be used in transport but it is used in Japan for brown out protection in multi story buildings. Another great Australia invention that was pilfered by Ballard power systems of Canada. Long story but if you check the history of PCE one can learn the sad and sorry tale. We do not want to make batteries that last a long time....solid lead plate car batteries at one time would last 10 years, now you are lucky to get 3 years.
