I do not know as I haven't researched this fact.

however in ext's case/situation
this is a rare situation where the giant's existing resourse is reducing and the baby's resource is growing and joins the their lease with the start of the u almost on the edge of the lease

this then would allow ext's u bearing material to be carried via a conveyer belt to rio's existing stock pile sorting and processing

or
rio could be just making things harder for bhp's take-over of rio or for any other country/business, which of course must include Iran, as Iran is a share holder in Rossing
