Well the project is for a refinery in the early stages. Cavico will be producing hydroxide through a hydrometallurgical process and have built a plant on site. That still leaves refining. As per BSX flowsheet: The Refining Phase will focus on the second half of the flowsheet, including MHP Releach, electrolyte purification (SX), through to NCM Precursor precipitation and drying. I hope BSX might be involved in refining and NCM production. I think carmakers will need all the nickel sulphide projects that they can get if they want to avoid laterites for ESG reasons. Interestingly Ta Khoa PFS is for a 9 year mine life but producing twice as many tonnes as nickel per year as Cavico.
